Timing, Start/Finish and Race Information
Please note: we will be using MapRun mobile App for event scoring and timing. No physical checkpoints will be placed in the park - the MapRun app records when you have visited each checkpoint site and notifies you with a tone sound on your phone.

You will need to download the MapRun app to your mobile device in advance of the event as well as the New Year Day course which will be pin protected. Further instructions will be emailed to participants in advance of the event.

Start and Finish will be located close to the car park, and will be marked with the Saxons Start and Finish Banners.

Short Score participants will start at 11am, collecting a map, receiving the pin, and starting as soon as the app registers the Start checkpoint.

Long Score participants will start from 11.15am in the same manner.

Visit as many of the virtual controls as you can within the 60 minutes (according to either the Short or Long Score rules as appropriate) before returning to the Start/Finish area. The MapRun app will register the Finish, and your result will be automatically uploaded to the MapRun results.
